Message Organisation

Autism Wessex exists to help people with autism access good education, housing and services that in turn will help them to develop their social and communication skills, become more independent and lead fuller and more productive lives. The Charity operates a residential/day school for children with autism from the ages of three to nineteen, residential and supported living services to adults; respite care to children and families; support groups for parents/carers/people with autism and an information and advice service. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person relates to the world and other people around them. Autism affects 1 in 100 people. It is a spectrum condition, which means that, while all people with autism share certain difficulties, their condition will affect them in different ways.
